U.S. dollar stays nearly flat

NEW YORK, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar was almost flat in late trading on Monday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up 0.01 percent to 102.561 at 3:00 p.m. (2000 GMT).
