1st LD: At least 10 killed in Prague school shooting: rescuers


PRAGUE, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) -- At least 10 people were killed in a shooting at a school in the Czech capital Prague on Thursday, according to rescuers.

The shooting at the building of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University killed 11 people, including the attacker, the Prague emergency services said on social media, adding that nine people were seriously injured, five to six moderately injured, and up to ten lightly injured.

Czech police, who reported the shooting shortly after 3 p.m. local time, said they have evacuated the entire building and a pyrotechnic inspection is currently underway.

Police officers in the Central Bohemian Region have announced a search for a young man in connection with the violent death of a man in the region as there could be a link to the mass shooting, the Czech News Agency reported.
