4 killed in fire in Delhi

NEW DELHI, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- At least four persons, including an infant and two women, died and two others were injured when a fire broke out inside a house in East Delhi, an official of the local fire service department said on Friday.

The fire broke out inside a small industrial unit which was operating from the ground floor of the four-storey house located in East Delhi's Shahdara area.

"A total of six persons were trapped inside the house. We rescued them and admitted them to a local hospital. Four of them died, while two are undergoing treatment at the hospital," said a senior official of the fire service department.

The cause of fire was not known yet.
