Urgent: Stubb wins Finnish presidential election

HELSINKI, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- The presidential candidate for the National Coalition Alexander Stubb has won the Finnish presidential election on Sunday, according to the media prognosis.

With 92 percent of the votes counted, national broadcaster Yle predicted Stubb would get 51.4 percent of votes while Independent Green candidate Pekka Haavisto get 48.6 percent.

Haavisto congratulated Stubb for winning the election.
