Venezuela attorney general arrests two people close to opposition candidate Machado

CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuela attorney general Tarek Saab said on Wednesday two people close to opposition candidate Maria Corina Machado have been arrested for alleged involvement in planned conspiracies and street violence.

Those detained are Henry Alviarez, the national coordinator of Machado's Vente Venezuela party, and Dignora Hernandez, the party's political secretary, Saab said on state television.
