Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, May 29 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Wednesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for July delivery dropped 60 cents, or 0.75 percent, to settle at 79.23 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for July delivery decreased by 62 cents, or 0.74 percent, to settle at 83.6 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
