BEIRUT, July 9 (Xinhua) -- The Lebanese Army Command announced on Tuesday that it arrested six people spreading the Islamic State (IS) ideology on social media, according to Lebanon's National News Agency.
The Lebanese Army Command said the arrested people followed up on publications related to the group, held meetings centered around its ideas, worked to recruit people, and encouraged hostility towards the Lebanese army and security services.
An investigation was underway as the detainees have been under the supervision of judicial authorities, said the report.
