5.7-magnitude quake hits 5 km SSE of Puerto Armuelles, Panama: USGS

NEW YORK, July 22 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted 5 km SSE of Puerto Armuelles, Panama, at 19:19:34 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 3.0 km, was initially determined to be at 8.23 degrees north latitude and 82.84 degrees west longitude.
