Olympics | Hungarian Kristof Milak wins Olympic butterfly 100m gold

PARIS, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Kristof Milak of Hungary won the gold medal in the men's 100-meter butterfly final at the Paris Olympic Games on Saturday.

In a time of 49.90 seconds, Milak produced a strong finish to overtake Josh Liendo of Canada in the closing meters to add gold to the silver medal he won in the 200-meter event.

Liendo took the silver in 49.99 seconds and his compatriot Ilya Kharun claimed the bronze medal in 50.45 seconds.
