JERUSALEM, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- British low-cost carrier Easyjet will suspend all its flights to Israel until March 29, 2025 due to the current security situation, according to Israeli media reports on Tuesday.
In an announcement, as quoted by Israel's state-owned Kan TV news and other media outlets, Easyjet offered a full refund to the customers who booked flights for the period between late October this year and late March next year, said the reports.
Easyjet, one of the most active airlines at Israel's Ben Gurion Airport outside Tel Aviv, halted flights to Israel on Oct. 7, 2023 after the Israeli-Palestinian conflict broke out, but resumed flights to Tel Aviv in late March this year.
Then the carrier halted its flights again in mid-April following an Iranian missile and drone attack against Israel, while announcing that the flights would resume on Oct. 27.
In the first nine months of 2023, Easyjet flew more than 640,000 passengers on the routes between several major European cities and Israel, according to data from the Israel Airports Authority.
