Olympics | Sprinter Letsile Tebogo wins Botswana's 1st gold at Paris Games in men's 200m

PARIS, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- Letsile Tebogo secured Botswana's first gold medal of the Paris Olympics by winning the men's 200m sprint final on Thursday.

The 21-year-old held off challenges from Americans Kenneth Bednarek and Noah Lyles to prevail in 19.46 seconds at Stade de France.

Bednarek took silver in 19.62 and newly-crowned 100m champion Lyles claimed bronze in 19.70.
