Olympics | United States wins men's 4x400m relay gold at Paris Games


PARIS, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Rai Benjamin withstood a late charge from Botswana's Letsile Tebogo, as the United States won the men's 4x400m relay final at the Paris Olympics on Saturday.

The U.S. quartet, which also included Christopher Bailey, Vernon Norwwod and Bryce Deadmon, finished in an Olympic record time of two minutes, 54.43 seconds, shattering its own previous mark by almost a second.

Botswana took silver in 2:54.53, and Britain claimed bronze in 2:55.83.
