BiH secures EU grant for its infrastructure


SARAJEVO, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) secured a 3.5-million-euro (3.9 million U.S. dollars) grant from the European Union for the supervision of works on a section of Corridor Vc on Thursday.

The section, spanning 8.5 kilometers, includes the construction of six bridges, a tunnel, five underpasses, one overpass, seven hydrotechnical facilities, among others.

Adebayo Babajide, deputy head of the EU Delegation to BiH, emphasized the EU's commitment to enhancing connectivity and regional integration through the corridor.

The EU has so far allocated a total of 870 million euros in grants for this project. (1 euro = 1.09 U.S. dollar)
