Fire engulfs car-parking lot near Lisbon Airport


LISBON, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- A fire broke out in a car parking lot near Lisbon Airport, but there are no reports of injuries so far, Portugal's SIC TV reported on Friday.

The blaze engulfed several vehicles and also affected hundreds of parked cars Friday afternoon, creating a large black cloud of smoke visible from miles away.

Firefighters are still battling the raging fire in the proximity of warehouses in the industrial area of Prior Velho. The situation remains critical, raising concerns among local residents, according to local reports.
