Solar energy event kicks off in South Africa's Cape Town


CAPE TOWN, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Solar & Storage Live 2024, a premier gathering for professionals and stakeholders in the renewable energy sector, kicked off on Tuesday in Cape Town, the legislative capital of South Africa.

Held on Aug. 27-28 at the Cape Town International Convention Center (CTICC), this event is expected to attract over 5,000 attendees, including energy providers, government representatives, investors, installers, and end-users.

With more than 150 exhibitors from all over the world gathering at the CTICC, showcasing cutting-edge products and solutions from across the solar and energy storage sector, the expo is poised to mark a pivotal moment in advancing sustainable energy solutions in South Africa and across international borders.

Solar & Storage Live Cape Town 2024 aims to bring together industry leaders, innovators, policymakers, and investors to discuss the latest trends, technologies, and strategies in solar energy and energy storage, according to the organizers.

The two-day event will feature a comprehensive agenda filled with insightful sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and innovation in the renewable energy sector. It will also offer practical training and workshops tailored for installers and contractors.
