Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Tuesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for October delivery dropped 3.21 U.S. dollars, or 4.36 percent, to settle at 70.34 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for November delivery lost 3.77 dollars, or 4.86 percent, to settle at 73.75 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
