Uzbekistan holds Week of Information and Communication Technologies


TASHKENT, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- From September 17 to 20 the Week of Information and Communication Technologies of Uzbekistan, ICT WEEK UZBEKISTAN, is held in the country's capital Tashkent to boost its IT capacity.

"The event, which has been held for 20 years, aims to turn Uzbekistan into a regional IT hub, increase the export of IT services, and create a platform for exchanging experiences and demonstrating modern technologies," said the National News Agency of Uzbekistan (UzA).

As noted in the press service of the organizer, this event traditionally combines a number of specialized events into a single format. The main objective of the ICT WEEK is to create a platform for the exchange of experience and demonstration of the achievements of modern technologies and innovations.

According to the organizer, it also serves as a platform for demonstrating the attractiveness of the Uzbek IT market to foreign investors for the interaction between the state, companies and consumers.
