Ethiopian Airlines to add 3 weekly flights to Guangzhou

ADDIS ABABA, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Ethiopian Airlines, the leading African carrier, announced Friday the addition of three new flights from Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, to Guangzhou, the capital of south China's Guangdong Province.

The newly added flights will commence on Sept. 27, 2024, which will bring the air company's total number of return-trip flights to Guangzhou to 10 a week, further solidifying the airline's extensive network in China, the airline said in a statement.

The addition of three weekly services to Guangzhou is expected to play a significant role in further promoting economic and people-to-people ties between Africa and China.

Currently, the airline operates regular passenger flights to five cities in China, namely Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Hong Kong.
