Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for November delivery increased 2.76 U.S. dollars, or 3.71 percent, to settle at 77.14 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for December delivery added 2.88 dollars, or 3.69 percent, to settle at 80.93 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
