Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Tuesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for November delivery dropped 3.57 U.S. dollars, or 4.63 percent, to settle at 73.57 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for December delivery lost 3.75 dollars, or 4.63 percent, to settle at 77.18 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
