Uzbekistan exports apricots worth 62.3 mln USD in first 8 months

TASHKENT, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan exported apricots worth 62.3 million U.S. dollars in the fist eight months of this year, local media reported Tuesday, citing the state's statistics agency.

Uzbekistan exported 64,800 tons of apricots from January to August this year, marking an increase of 21.6 million U.S. dollars and 15,000 tons compared to the same period last year.

In the eight months, Uzbekistan's largest apricot export destination was Russia, with a total of 51,500 tons.
