Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for November delivery lost 1.73 U.S. dollars, or 2.29 percent, to settle at 73.83 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for December delivery dropped 1.58 dollars, or 2.0 percent, to settle at 77.46 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
