Uzbekistan imports vehicles worth 912 mln dollars by August


TASHKENT, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- In the first eight months of this year, Uzbekistan imported vehicles worth 912 million U.S. dollars, Uzbek media reported on Monday, citing the country's Statistics Agency.

According to the report, from January to August, Uzbekistan imported 48,055 light vehicles totaling 912 million U.S. dollars.

As reported, Uzbekistan imported most of its light vehicles from China, which accounts for 38,085. Apart from that, Uzbekistan also imported vehicles from South Korea, the USA, Japan, and Germany in these eight months.

As of September this year, the number of personal automobiles per 100 households in Uzbekistan had reached 57.
