BELGRADE, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic attended the breakthrough of the right tube of the Munjino Brdo tunnel on Thursday, a key segment of the Chinese company-built highway section from Preljina to Pozega along the Belgrade-South Adriatic corridor (E-763).

According to a press release from the Serbian government, the event was also attended by Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure Goran Vesic, as well as the acting director of "Putevi Srbije," Zoran Drobnjak.

Vucevic expressed confidence that the entire Pakovraca-Pozega section would be completed by June 2025.

"Construction drives GDP growth lays the foundation for higher wages and pensions, and improves the standard of living for our citizens. I'm proud that Serbia is leading the region in highway construction," Vucevic added.
