Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for November delivery increased by 1.34 U.S. dollars, or 1.94 percent, to settle at 70.56 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for December delivery added 1.23 dollars, or 1.68 percent, to settle at 74.29 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
