Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Tuesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for November delivery added 1.53 U.S. dollars, or 2.17 percent, to settle at 72.09 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for December delivery increased by 1.75 dollars, or 2.36 percent, to settle at 76.04 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
