Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Friday.

The West Texas Intermediate for December delivery increased by 1.59 U.S. dollars, or 2.27 percent, to settle at 71.78 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for December delivery gained 1.67 dollars, or 2.25 percent, to settle at 76.05 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
