Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for December delivery increased by 1.98 U.S. dollars, or 2.85 percent, to settle at 71.47 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for January delivery gained 1.98 dollars, or 2.71 percent, to settle at 75.08 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
