US polls: Trump has over 95% chance of victory with 247 electoral votes, says NYT


PETALING JAYA: Former US president Donald Trump has gotten 247 electoral votes over Kamala Harris' 214 in the race to the White House, according to the New York Times.

As at 2.46pm, Trump has won two key battleground states - North Carolina and Georgia - and are favoured to win in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.

The New York Times said in every state that has counted most of its votes, Trump has improved on his performance from 2020. It also put Trump as having over 95% chance of victory.

The Republicans has also clinched victory in Senate, winning 51 over Democrats' 42. In the House of Representatives, Republicans has 186 over Democrats' 160
