Kenya urges Africa to embrace special economic zones to spur growth


NAIROBI, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Kenyan President William Ruto on Thursday called on African nations to integrate special economic zones (SEZs) into a continental transformation strategy to drive growth.

Speaking at the official opening of the ninth African Economic Zones Organization's annual meeting in Nairobi, Kenya's capital, Ruto said that SEZs are vital for attracting investment, creating jobs, and driving technological advancements, all of which are critical to building a competitive and inclusive economy.
