Conference in Sarajevo highlights role of labour migration

SARAJEVO, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- The latest report released by the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) highlights challenges facing the country's labour market.

The report was released Friday at a labour migration conference held here.

Hosted by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and BiH's Labour and Employment Agency, the event highlighted the role of labour migration in addressing workforce shortages and fostering economic growth.

According to the report, the challenges include labour shortages, difficulties in hiring foreign workers, among others.

The report calls for coordinated efforts between government, businesses, trade unions, and educational institutions to address these issues.
