BEIRUT -- Israeli forces equipped with large bulldozers and protected by Merkava tanks are carrying out demolition and bulldozing operations on Thursday in border towns in southern Lebanon, Lebanon's official National News Agency (NNA) reported.

ISTANBUL -- Türkiye will build two naval logistics ships for Portugal, its first-ever military shipbuilding for export to a NATO and European Union (EU) member state, Turkish defense company STM said on Thursday.

JERUSALEM -- A missile launched by Yemen's Houthi forces struck a school in central Israel on Thursday, causing significant damage, according to Israeli official sources.
The missile, identified by the Houthis as a hypersonic "Palestine-2" missile, triggered air raid sirens across central Israel overnight. The Israeli military initially reported intercepting the missile but later clarified that it was only partially intercepted and struck the school in Ramat Gan, a suburb of Tel Aviv. GAZA -- At least 20 Palestinians were killed in Israeli bombings targeting two schools sheltering displaced civilians and a house in eastern Gaza City, Palestinian sources said on Thursday.
Local sources and eyewitnesses reported that Israeli aircraft carried out strikes on the Al-Karama and Sha'ban Al-Rayes schools, which were serving as shelters for displaced civilians, as well as a residential house in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.
