Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Tuesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for February delivery added 69 cents, or 0.94 percent, to settle at 74.25 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for March delivery increased 75 cents, or 0.98 percent, to settle at 77.05 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
