Pakistan's forex reserves drop by 15 mln USD

ISLAMABAD, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves have decreased by 15 million U.S. dollars due to external debt repayments, the central bank said in a statement on Thursday.

During the week ending on Jan. 3, total foreign exchange reserves of the bank stood at about 11.7 billion dollars.

Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks came in at around 4.7 billion dollars.

Total foreign reserves held by the South Asian country stood at around 16.4 billion dollars.
