Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices declined on Friday.

The West Texas Intermediate for March delivery lost 20 cents, or 0.27 percent, to settle at 72.53 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for March delivery dropped 11 cents, or 0.14 percent, to settle at 76.76 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
