Big night for Pakatan Harapan


RUMOURS flew throughout the afternoon about who was leading in the Kuala Kubu Baharu (KKB) by-election, but the first credible signal came from Umno secretary-general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, who posted on X that Pakatan Harapan had swept in the early votes.

It came as a jolt that 592 votes from the police and armed forces had gone to Pakatan, while 156 went to Perikatan Nasional. It was quite a blow for Perikatan leaders who thought they had support from that Malay-dominated cohort.
