The hurdles of hudud

A bit of classical Islamic architecture in downtown Bandar, Brunei, the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque stands as a tribute to Sultan Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien. The Sultan, father of His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, is regarded as the architect of modern Brunei. Anchored in a lagoon beside the Mosque is a replica of a 16th century Mahligai, or royal barge, where religious ceremonies were held during the 1960Õs and 1970Õs.

In Malaysia, no one has the right to alter the status quo without common consent.

I AM against the implementation of the hudud law in Malaysia. Everyone should try and live according to the rules of their faith.
