The ‘citizens’ playbook’

IT was one of those moments when you will always remember what you were doing when you heard the news. I wasn’t doing anything extraordinary, just sitting having breakfast overseas, when messages poured in saying that the verdict was about to be passed. And then the moment, the one we had not really dared to believe would happen, came. Appeal rejected, guilty verdict and sentences upheld.

I’m sure I was not the only one who felt teary, reminiscent of that night on May 10, 2018, when it was confirmed that Pakatan Harapan had won the 14th General Election. Unbelievable things can happen if you hold on to hope.
