Struggle is real as divers rue lost chances for Olympics


IT HAS been an embarrassing World Championships outing for Malaysia as their reputation as an Asian diving powerhouse has been ripped apart. Malaysia will come back with their worst ever performance at the world championships with no women going to the Olympics for the first time in 24 years and no representation in the synchro events.

In light of this, former diving coach Yang Zhuliang’s parting words comes to mind immediately after his work with Cheong Jun Hoong ended after the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
