IT’S academic by now whether Khairy Jamaluddin deserves to be the number two of the Umno Youth movement. The rising star in the party has already clinched the deputy Youth chief post unopposed. 

When nominations closed two weeks ago, he already had 172 nominations, with indications that he would get more. With such support, Khairy is likely to take over from Umno Youth leader Datuk Hishammuddin Hussein when the time comes.
