Suits and ties not suited for Malaysia

WITH reference to recent letters published in The Star regarding the wearing of ties, permit me to wade into the subject.

The men’s tie or necktie as it exists today originated from a functional piece of cloth tied around the neck by people in temperate climates to keep out the cold and retain body heat.
