Scary snatch theft incident

AFTER reading the report “Snatch thief dies after victim knocks into motorcycle” (The Star, July 31), I would like to share my experience as a victim of snatch theft.

A week before this incident, my handbag was snatched but I could not chase the thieves. Like the case in Seri Kembangan, where the victim’s bag was snatched while he was having a drink in a restaurant, mine was taken while I was having breakfast at 7am in Section 7, Shah Alam. The point here is that snatch thieves can strike at any time and they are almost always young men on motorbikes.
