Roll out info on RFID system

THE days of getting stuck at toll plazas after a smooth drive on the expressway will be a thing of the past after the introduction of the RFID (radio frequency identification) system, “RFID to be used for tolls by January” (The Star, Aug 9).

With RFID, there will be no need to stop or even slow down to pay toll as motorists can just drive at normal speed past the toll gantries, thus making the daily commute and balik kampung trips less stressful.
