Delay rife in approval of property transfer


MY niece purchased a townhouse unit at Kota Laksamana, Melaka in May this year. The seller’s lawyer submitted the application for consent to transfer (permohonan kebenaran pindahmilik) on June 14.

It has been more than three months and we are still waiting for the status update. There is the usual “tunggu lah” attitude of the government officers. I’m sure that over the years, countless people have faced the same problem.
