ON Aug 11, Malaysia recorded nine new Covid-19 cases; then 11, 15 and 20 cases were recorded on the following days, with 26 on Saturday. A reason for the spike is the emergence of three new virus clusters in Kedah, at Tawar, Muda and Yan.
Three new clusters in just three days is horrifyingly scary. With the earlier Sivagangga cluster, there are four new clusters in Kedah, each with the potential to spread infections to Penang, Perak and Perlis, apart from Kedah. That’s a large area at risk of being infected.
