Delivering the national science policy

LAST week, the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry launched the nation’s freshly minted science development guide, the National Policy on Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTIN) 2021-2030.

What is interesting about the DSTIN is its links with the economy and society. Those in the field are positive the Science, Technology, Innovation and Economy (STIE) ecosystem framework, called the “10-10 STIE”, that is a part of the policy, will instil new vigour in efforts to make science more relevant in the quest to empower society and ensure an equitable share for everyone in economic prosperity.
