Teach us to vote wisely

EIGHTEEN-year-olds will be allowed to vote for the first time in the upcoming Johor state election. However, not everyone is empowered to make the correct decision. Without minds of their own, the so-called “youth opinion” would just replicate the “old opinion”, with our youth following the voting patterns of their parents.

There is a need to engage young people in politics. For one thing, as someone who gained the right to vote through the implementation of the Undi18 Bill in December last year, I noticed that most of my friends seldom pay attention to politics.
