BORDERS will eventually reopen and stay open as long as the Covid-19 pandemic is relatively under control. But opening and closing borders in quick succession will do more harm than good. Hence, the criteria for these decisions should be made known.
Besides listing requirements for entering and exiting the country, the conditions under which borders can remain open should also be spelled out so that the public can make timely changes to travel plans if necessary.
