Tribute to the security forces

THE National Day parade returned with pomp and splendour after two years of muted celebrations during the Covid-19 pandemic. It was reported that tens of thousands of Malaysians as well as foreigners thronged Dataran Merdeka on Aug 31, with some arriving as early as 5am, to watch the event.

The highlights of the event included the march past by hundreds of proud men and women from the Malaysian security forces, display of military hardware such as armoured vehicles and artilleries, and an aerobatic show by the Royal Malaysian Air Force.
