One-way traffic system isn’t always workable


TRADERS and hawkers in the Bayan Baru market and food complex in Penang are urging the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) to rethink its plan to convert several roads in their area into one-way streets.

The traders, who fear losing customers as they would have to take a much longer drive along one-way streets to reach the market/food complex, were also unhappy that MBPP had not discussed the matter with them beforehand.
